 According to legend, the gods once argued about where the center of the universe was located... To settle the dispute, Zeus commanded his two eagles to each go to the far corners of the universe and then to fly toward each other... They met in Delphi... This stone was called the Navel of the Universe, in recognition of Delphi's location at the center of the universe... |
 There are three different temples in this picture... Each one was destroyed by an earthquake and another newer one was created... Wynkyn stood on the foundation of the oldest temple (lower left) and was surprised and delighted to actually feel a very, very powerful magic pulsing deep below the temple ruins... |
